Since the beginning of human interaction, people have traded goods and services for many reasons. Some were for survival, some for economic growth and some were just for the mere pleasure of having something from somewhere that someone else did not have. Trade in the simplest terms is that as a child you may have exchanged marbles, baseball cards or hair ties with your best friends. What this comes down to is trade and flow of goods and services from one individual to another, a practice that has been around for thousands of years and a practice that people will continue forever.

Colorado Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCB) is a licensed U.S Customs Broker based in Denver Colorado. As a Customs Broker, we are in the business of trade and supply chain management of goods and services from points all around the globe into the United States. Customs Brokers are companies and individuals that are licensed with the Department of the Treasury of the United States to conduct Customs business on behalf of importers.

Colorado Customs Brokers, Inc. was formed in January of 2003 by Toni Brock who is the owner of Adcom Worldwide, Inc in Denver Colorado. Toni Brock has been in the freight forwarding industry since the 1970’s, starting out as an accounting clerk for a trucking firm and learning the business from the ground up. Over the years she excelled in all areas of the business and moved into sales and marketing for a nationally based freight forwarder. When an opportunity presented itself in 1990’s to branch off on her own, she took the leap and started her own company with a business partner to form what has become a highly successful freight forwarding company, Adcom Worldwide. Toni’s vision of customers first and that service is the most important aspect of her business, allowed her excel to become one of the most successful freight forwarders in the Denver area.

Pete Michalczyk has been in the international freight forwarding industry since graduating college in 1994. He started out on the ground level with Expeditors International in Chicago learning the business of Customs Brokerage and international forwarding. A career advancement to another large freight forwarder then brought Pete to Denver where he quickly became known in the industry as a highly devoted, customer service focused manager. He obtained his customs brokers license February of 2001 and has made his mark of providing solutions to clients to strengthen their supply chain management.

In 2002, Toni was thinking about the future direction of the industry and completing her vision for her company which was to strengthen the international forwarding side and open up a Customs Brokerage division. Through industry contacts, Toni met Pete who wanted to help build a Customs Brokerage business with the philosophy of customer first. The idea and company of Colorado Customs Brokers, Inc. was born and the company was established on January of 2003 as a licensed Customs Broker with the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
